The endoplasmic reticulum: A major target of cadmium



​In collaboration with a team at iBiTec-S, researchers at our laboratory show that one of the major causes of cadmium toxicity in yeast is the entrance of the metal in the endoplasmic reticulum where it interferes with the process of synthesis or with the processing of the proteins.​​
