This labeling method that combines organic synthesis and enzymatic biotransformation, required the development and optimization of organic synthesis modes allowing to produce different precursors specifically enriched in stable isotopes - deuterium and 13C. This labelling dramatically increases the quality of NMR data and provides a simple and effective basis for the application of NMR techniques to complex supramolecular structures.
